DMCA notice procedure
Draft — pending legal review before launch.
QuiltCraft respects the intellectual property of others and we follow the procedures set out in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to respond to notices of claimed infringement.
How to send a DMCA notice
If you believe content stored on QuiltCraft infringes a copyright you own, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or authorized agent).
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material on QuiltCraft that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URLs are ideal).
- Your contact information (address, phone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Counter-notices must include the same general elements as DMCA notices, plus a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of US federal court for the judicial district where you reside.
Repeat infringers
It is QuiltCraft's policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We log every DMCA notice we receive and act we take in response.
